The next meeting of the Mackellar Girls Campus Parents' and Citizens' Association will be held on Wednesday the 5th August 2009 at 7.30pm in the Staff Common Room.

Welcome to the P&C Web Site 

It was an interesting start to this year’s Parents' and Citizens' Annual General Meeting with the meeting held in candlelight... later on we were able to get inside the building and complete the meeting with electric light!!

It was wonderful to see that we had quite a good turnout of parents to discuss questions and concerns and to vote in the new committee for this year. As you may know last year’s P&C struggled to achieve quorum on a few occasions… however this year we were able to fill all positions – which is great news!

The new committee for 2009 is as follows:

The goals of the P&C association are to:

• Encourage close cooperation among parents, school executive, teaching staff and the community
• Be a forum which enables parents, guardians and members of the community to discuss both in-school matters and the wider issues of public education
• Provide a school canteen
• Provide the school uniform shop
• Providing equipment and teaching aids to enhance classroom learning
• Organise fundraising and social occasions.

Meetings are held in the School Staff Common Room at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month so the next meeting is on Wednesday 5th August. Everyone is very welcome and please join us afterwards for drinks and nibbles!
